Student Life

Culture

Belonging, voice, and purpose—every day

Crosstown High is more than a school—it’s a community built on creativity, collaboration, and care. From the first day, students are welcomed into a space where they are seen, heard, and empowered to lead.

We want every student to feel a sense of purpose and possibility. The people in it shape our culture, and every student helps define who we are.

One Place for All Student & Parent Needs

This is your go-to hub for all things Crosstown. From calendars and forms to policies and communication tools, it’s all here—organized and easy to access.

What makes our culture unique?

Presentation of Learning (POLs)

Each year, students reflect on how they’ve grown—both in their learning and as individuals. They present their journeys to teachers, classmates, families, and community members, highlighting the challenges they’ve faced, the progress they’ve made, and the work they’re most proud of. With each presentation, students strengthen their confidence, find their voice, and take greater ownership of their learning.

Advisory that matters

Several times a week, students gather in small advisory groups focused on team-building, self-awareness, and connection. Each group is led by a trusted adult who supports academic and personal growth.

Restorative by design

Restorative practices at Crosstown High focus on repairing harm and rebuilding relationships rather than punishment. Our Culture Team, educators, and student leaders guide restorative circles and mediation sessions where all voices are heard. These conversations foster empathy, accountability, and conflict resolution skills, helping maintain a respectful, inclusive, and positive school climate.

Enrichment for exploration

In our Enrichment block, students choose how to grow—whether that’s through academic support, creative exploration, or building cross-campus connections.

Grade-Level Celebrations

These events create shared moments for each class to bond, reflect, and celebrate milestones. From fun activities to intentional recognition, they help students build identity and community across their high school journey.

Clubs & Student Organizations

Crosstown High students lead with passion. Whether it’s starting a new club or organizing an event, students have real agency in shaping campus life.
